Where have I been?

Hello everyone. Sorry it has been so long since my last post. It is quite silly. I forgot my password and have been struggling to remember so I could get back on. Things are going well for me. I did have a medical concern to deal with so my weight is not where I want it. I am on a plateau. That is ok. I will work through this. I am drinking ice tea now and water. I have also started looking at my portions. The totally awesome thing is my 9 year old is asking all kinds of healthy food questions and has stated he wants to eat healthy and checking with me about healthy food. That is so great!! This week for dinner we are doing a lot of sandwich or salad because of the heat. So any interesting recipes would be great to keep it interesting. We also have a garden so we will be harvesting some great vegies. The boys are excited. I will be back soon. Shannon

Hello everyone. This last week has been one of portion control and keeping up the water and not so much soda. I have been working on having one plate of food at dinner and making healthier food choices for dinner. If I cook a pasta dish I will have less of the pasta and more of the meat. I am going to change to whole wheat pasta next. Shannon

My last week

Hello everyone. I had a good week last week. I have done two things. The first was to cut back on caffeine. I am down to 3 cups of coffee a day instead of a whole pot. I also have cut way back on soda, diet or regular. Instead of two or more a day I have maybe had one diet this week. I have added more water as well. Last I checked I was down 2 pounds. I hope all of you are doing well. My exercise is a lot of walking right now.

Shannon's Journey

Hello everyone. This is day one of my journey. I am commited to losing weight and becoming healthier for me and my family. I am also helping my children learn healthy eating habits. Diabetes runs in my family and I want them to be well informed about the choices they make.
